Setting Meaningful Standards

Standards are crucial and MP Awards is a dedicated sector-specific Awarding Organisation for regulated qualifications. We also provide assessment solutions and a range of other services within the extractive, mineral processing and related manufacturing sectors. We are dedicated to working in collaboration with employer organisations, the HSE, professional institutes and trade associations, ensuring there is access to relevant qualifications, accreditation services and industry schemes to support the sector’s drive towards a fully competent workforce.

Our team is made up of experienced personnel from a range of backgrounds who work together to provide the most effective and efficient way of developing and delivering high quality products and services to the sector.

Working with providers

MP Awards work with a number of specialist providers to make the products and services we offer available throughout the UK, these include the delivery of regulated Vocational Qualifications, assessments for the Plant Scheme and Accredited Training provision. The majority of our providers offer their services on a commercial basis but we do also have some In-Company providers offering the same services to their own staff. The details of the commercial providers can be found below, most of which are able to provide the service across the whole of the country.

MP Awards is able to provide Accreditation Services for in-company training provision, where this meets our requirements and standards, and for which MP Awards conducts the quality assurance arrangements inclusive of certification. Certification can be offered at various levels dependent upon the requirements of the client. Certificates will be designed and agreed to meet the specific requirements of the client.

 

Apprenticeship - End Point Assessements

Traditional apprenticeship frameworks have been reformed and are now referred to as Apprenticeship Standards. To achieve an apprenticeship there is now a requirement to complete an End Point Assessment (EPA), while MP Awards do not deliver the apprenticeship training, we are approved to offer the EPA for a number of standards.
